Why are we moved by great sacrifice? We are drawn to stories of war and sacrifice, love and sacrifice. God has created us to live lives that extend beyond self – to mirror a love that is sacrificial. However, sacrifice requires something of us. It forces us to embrace discomfort. In our current climate: have we been called to live counter culturally by modelling sacrificial love?
