By this They Will Know – John 19:25-27
Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.
God calls us to consider others. This requires us to shift the focus from ourselves and to value the other more than our own wants/needs. As Jesus hangs on the cross He points John to his Mother – requesting that he love and care for her. In the midst of their sorrow – Jesus reminds them to shift their focus to others. Our call as Christians is to care for the orphan and the widow. This requires sacrificial love.
